This is a special treat I often make for the furries of my family and buddies. Its healthy, super easy and (if you have time to make them) it beats buying costly doggy cookies from petshops. Baking and cooking for dogs is so gratifying and stress-free. They never complain that’s it’s too bland or that your crockery is not pretty enough.
No bones about that! (pun totally intended)
250gm wholemeal flour 5 tbsp oats
1 tbsp peanut butter 3 eggs 1.25 cups milk * Cookie cutter * works with either regular full milk, low-fat, lactose free or soy milk. Depending on your pooches’ tolerance level to diary
Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Line a cookie tray with baking paper or if you’re sophisticated, one of those silicon mat thingy things.
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl to form a rather firm but manageable dough.
Grab a handful of the dough (how much will depend on your cookie cutter size), plonk it down on your worktop and flatten with your mighty palms.
Now’s the fun part. Cut away! and away ! and away! until you finish the entire tray and feel like taking a nap.
Bake for 35 minutes or slightly longer if you want a crunchier deal. Let them cool before storing in air tight containers. If they have not been stolen by then.
And (the Best part!) torture your furries by making them take a picture with one of those cookie instead of letting them just gobble it down.
I don’t dare to say this about other recipes but this is one of those that’s satisfaction guaranteed!
